Sit is Spectacular! The virtues of this activity are great. When you realize how often you will use this basic and powerful tool in your lifetime with your dog, you will wish you started sooner!

• Sit replaces movement! Sit replaces jumping up, stealing food or running away.
• Sit can even stop puppy biting and stop dog barking.
• Lastly, this simple lesson is a great example of the very basics of training our dogs and puppies. Any time you teach something new, you will want to first show your puppy or adult dog your desired behavior and then pair your English word of choice with the behavior over and over!
